#FAFATL: THE ART OF GIVING, THE GIVING OF ART
This hand-made accordion style artists' book documents my discovery of a thriving social media-driven hunt for free art throughout Atlanta, Georgia. Told through an Instagram narrative, the book details my adventures of finding free art, unearthing new neighborhoods, becoming a maker, and growing a creative community through the giving of art. The book received a First Place award in the Books with Original Content category during the 9th Annual Artists' Book Symposium (2016) at the Savannah College of Art and Design, and is now part of the permanent collection at the ACA Library at SCAD Atlanta.

I learned so much about Atlanta through Free Art Friday (#FAFATL) and the creation of my artists’ book that I immediately knew what I wanted to make next: #FAFATLOPOLY. Modeled off the property deed cards in the classic board game Monopoly, I designed and letterpress printed sets of coasters featuring Atlanta-themed destinations and the local offerings and merchants that made them so memorable.
