LETTERPRESS DESIGN & PRINTING
Similar to solving a jigsaw puzzle, letterpress design allows the printer to use a variety of objects to create a unique piece of art. From vintage wood and metal type to hand carved woodcuts or linoleum blocks, the possibilities are endless—and challenging. I’ve been fortunate to learn from the best while interning at Hatch Show Print in Nashville, TN, and working among Seattle’s finest letterpress printers at The School of Visual Concepts (SVC), now known as Partners in Print (PiP).
GREETING CARDS
When we first began navigating the pandemic, millions of people suddenly found themselves with only their thoughts and seemingly endless amounts of time. Thankfully, I also had a printing press and plenty of morbid ideas on how to keep in touch while socially distancing from friends and loved ones. Here are just a few of the cards I printed to stay sane while hopefully lifting the spirits of others during a very dark and uncertain time.
